Test Sample: Same specifications (0.5 mm diameter, 50 mm length), only the density varies.
- High-Density Group: 1.33 g/cm3
- Low-Density Group: 1.28 g/cm3
🔧 Test 1: Wear Resistance
Method: Reciprocating friction under 1000g load for 10,000 cycles. Measure the amount of wear.
Result: High-density: 0.23 mg wear | Low-density: 0.61 mg wear
💡 Conclusion: High-density bristles are 2.65 times more wear-resistant than low-density ones [1].
🔄 Test 2: Elastic Recovery
Method: Bend 90 degrees and hold for 1 hour. Measure the residual angle after 5 seconds.
Result: High-density: Fully recovered | Low-density: ~8° residual
💡 Conclusion: High-density bristles recover more quickly and completely than low-density bristles [1].
⚠️ Test 3: Flex Fatigue

For high-end, long-life products → prefer high-density PBT (≈1.33 g/cm3).
